What A Hectic Three Nights That Was!

Hey guys, so we got back from camping yesterday due to the weather changes. It was really windy, dusty and the water was rough as guts. Although, it did make the tube rides more fun with the lake being chopping! So we got up at the lake and unpacked our belongings and set our swags and tent up ready for bed that night. Have you ever had that feeling were you go away on a trip and you know you have forgotten something? Well, you guessed it! The next morning my Dad and myself had to go back home and get the few important things we left behind. Luckily we only live 20 minutes from the lake, so it was no big deal. On the way back up to the lake, we picked up my best friend Ashlyn to come up for the day skiing with us! It was the best day I had had in a long time! The next day was actually the best weather though. Reaching a temperature of 34 degrees with a tiny bit of wind. It was nice, but then the next day wasn't so nice. As you read before, it was windy, dusty and made the water a hell of a ride! So we decided to pack up that day and go home. It was a shame to pack up, but then I was also happy to get home in my comfy bed! So I guess you could say that it was a hectic three nights up at the lake, but it was enjoyable. I had fun anyway!

All our swags lined up!

My uncle Greg's boat we use.

Our camp all set up!
The kitchen area.
So that was my camping trip to Lake Cullulleraine! We might go again when we get back from Sydney. :)

Much love,

Camping at Lake Cullulleraine

Today my family and myself are packing and getting ready to go camping up at Lake Cullulleraine for a couple of nights! We are expected to come back on Saturday, which gives us a few days to do such things like swimming, knee-boarding, tube riding, eating (lots) and spending time with my family! In the last couple of years, we have camped down the lake and the weather hasn't been the best. It has either rained, been windy and we have even had a dust storm come through, so we are hoping for the best weather possible this year. The temperature right now 25 degrees, and expected to reach 31 degrees. In the next couple of days it is supposed to be extremely hot, so on goes the sunscreen and sunglasses. I also get to sleep in my swag I got from Christmas for the first time, so I'm excited to try it out! Expect an updated post on the upcoming Sunday to look at a few snap shots of my camping at Lake Cullulleraine and a few stories to share!

Goodbye until then,

Celebrating The New Year!

Ok, because I didn't do anything to celebrate the first minute of 2012 at 12.01am, my family decided to celebrate the New Year the next day by going skiing down at Lake Cullulleraine for the day! It was close to a scorching 45 degrees down the lake so I was in and out of the water all day cooling off, whether that including going for a swim, knee-boarding, or a tube ride! I went for a knee-board with my sister Chelsea around the lake once. I also went for an adventurous tube ride with my sister Erika's boyfriend, Nathan. I managed to fall off 3 times in about 10 minutes because it was a fairly rough ride with the boat driver aiming to get us off. Persistently, I kept at it and got on again! It was a fun day, not to mention the sunburn and sore muscles the next day, but it was a really good day! I couldn't have asked for a more fun day to kick-off 2012!

Much love,
